Fundraising for Komen
Planning a Fundraising Activity?
We are honored to be contacted so often by passionate members of our community wanting to organize an event or promotion benefiting breast cancer awareness and research. Susan G. Komen North Jersey partners with others because it benefits both parties in terms of public awareness.
The important thing to remember is that every dollar counts…
We want to make this process as simple as possible. In order for us to give each event and/or promotion request its due attention, we ask that if you are interested in entering into an agreement with Komen North Jersey, please complete the Third Party Fundraiser Application or email us.
Step 1: Read through our fundraising Guidelines to assist you in planning your event or promotion.
Step 2: If after you’ve read the guidelines, you are interested in entering into an agreement with the Komen North Jersey Affiliate, complete the Third Party Fundraiser Application.
Step 3: Still have questions? contact: Pamela Greene firstname.lastname@example.org 908-277-2904
All 3rd party fundraisers are reviewed on an individual basis. Depending on the time of year, it may take up to 72 hours before you hear from Komen North Jersey. Please note that you may not begin promoting your event until you have a signed agreement. Below are some fundraising ideas for you…
For smaller events, there are other ways to support Komen:
You may want to consider registering for Passionately Pink for the Cure®. This program allows individuals, business and clubs/groups to fundraise for Komen. The website provides resources for your fundraising activities as well as a customizable web page. Learn how you can become Passionately Pink!
Option 2: You may want to consider not using the Komen name/logo and instead making a general statement that the funds raised will go to a local breast health organization or breast cancer research and support. We would be honored to receive funds raised and would give public recognition for your donation.
Rally for the Cure® has expanded their well-established golf program to other events. You can now plan a Rally for the Cure® program for sporting events like golf and tennis, dinner events such as wine-tasting or group/club activities such as a bridge or book clubs. Learn how you can become a Rally Ambassador.
Help Strike Out Breast Cancer with a Bowl for the Cure® Event! Bowl for the Cure® is a year-round fundraising and breast cancer awareness initiative sponsored by USBC in partnership with Susan G. Komen. Since the initiative’s inception in 2000, people from across the country have hit the lanes to raise millions for Susan G. Komen and its Affiliates. Pass The Plate. Limited-edition designs. Unlimited generosity.
The recipe is a snap: make a meal, serve it on KitchAid’s uniquely-marked Villeroy & Boch plates, and share it with someone special. That person then keeps it and passes it on to the next. The best part is once your plate is registered, each recipient can add to the plate’s journey, and KitchenAid will add to the donation total. For every person who registers their plate, KitchAid will give $5 to Susan G. Komen North Jersey.
Come back often to read your plate’s story as it’s passed from place to place and person to person.
