Thank you for your interest in the Komen North Jersey Affiliate Grants Program. The following items are available to assist interested parties with our grant making process. They are not intended or authorized for other usage.

All grant applications must be submitted online, please go to: to register or sign in.

If your organization is interested in funding for Screening/Treatment Support, click on the North Jersey 2015–2016 RFA.

If your organization is interested in funding for Education and/or Survivorship, please click on North Jersey 2015-2016 RFA (B).

The RFA will be available as of September 15, 2014 THERE WILL BE A MANDETORY GRANT TRAINING WEBINAR FOR ANY ORGANIZATION THAT WOULD LIKE TO APPLY FOR A COMMUNITY GRANT IN THE FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016  – Information about the Webinar to follow

Important Dates

Grant Writing Webinar:             Wednesday, September 17th, begins at 9am

Application Deadline:                   Monday, December 1, 2014 5pm

Award Notification:                      No later than March 31, 2015

Award Period:                                April 1, 2015-March 31, 2016



Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for funding:

•All past and current Komen-funded grants or awards to applicant are up-to-date and in compliance with Komen requirements.

•Applicant has tax exempt status under the Internal Revenue Service code.

•Applicant must be a non-profit organization located in or providing services to one or more of the    following locations:

◦Bergen County

◦Essex County

◦Hudson County

◦Morris County

◦Passaic County

◦Somerset County

◦Sussex County

◦Union County

◦Warren County

•Project must be specific to breast health and/or breast cancer

•If applicant, or any of its key employees, directors, officers or agents is convicted of fraud or a crime involving any other financial or administrative impropriety, then applicant is not eligible to apply for a grant during this current cycle and will not be eligible to apply for a new grant until the later of 12 months after the conviction or until applicant can demonstrate that appropriate remedial measures have been taken to ensure that any criminal misconduct does not recur.


Allowable Expenses:

Funds may be used for the following types of program expenses:

•Salaries for program staff

•Consultant fees

•Clinical services or patient care costs (screening/treatment support only)

•Meeting Costs



•Other direct program expenses


Funds may not be used for the following purposes:

•Medical or scientific research

•Scholarships or fellowships

•Construction or renovation of facilities

•Political campaigns or lobbying


•Debt Reduction

•Fringe Benefits

•Indirect Costs
